The Community Resiliency Model® (CRM) is a groundbreaking wellness initiative that teaches participants practical skills to increase personal resilience and empower communities. CRM was created by the Trauma Resource Institute in part as a response to the public health crisis of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and is easily learned and accessible regardless of age, culture, or educational level.
The two fundamental goals of CRM® are to:
- Help adults and children learn to track their own nervous system in order to bring the body, mind and spirit back into greater balance, and to
- Encourage people to pass the skills along to family, friends and their wider community.
Upon completing the two-day course participants will be able to:
- Immediately teach the skills to peers and other community members.
- Build resilience by learning about the impact of stress on their bodies and brains.
- Use self-regulation skills for rapid relief of stress-related symptoms.
- Increase a sense of control over future wellness.
When: Thursday, August 1 - 9:00 - 4:00 and Friday, August 2 from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
